My Odyssey Journal November 11, 2002 Well, it’s time for me to go on my long awaited trip. It is 9:30 a.m. and I can’t wait to go. I have spent over 850$ on three different air-flights and over 6,250$ on hotels in the 3 various countries. I’m so lucky that my parents love me. 10:30 a.m.-I have arrived at the airport and I am about to depart to Rome. After these freaking 2 hour lines of course… Stupid terrorists… 12:30 p.m.- I have went to the bathroom twice…never eat anything before you fly that hurts to come back up (reminder to self). Since this is my first time flying I don’t know whether the turbulence is doing it or it is just me. Ooo peanuts. 10:22 p.m.- Whew…I’m outta the airplane and on my way to my first hotel the Grand Hotel Ritz. I think I paid enough a night at this place so it better be nice! You can actually find a cabby here. 11:46 p.m.- It is finally time to go to bed, I have found my room, gotten my key, searched around the hotel, and gotten unpacked. November 12, 2002 11:21 a.m.-Man what a night… I could not sleep worth anything. I finally started to sleep well at around 5 or close to it. I just hope I get a better nights rest tomorrow. 12:54 p.m.- It’s time to go out and get me some lunch… Now I haven’t decided on where I am to go to get lunch… I should probably stop at one of these café’s or maybe buy some groceries. 1:48 p.m.- I had decided to eat my lunch at a café that is around the corner from my hotel. The food was decent…a little pricey, but the coffee was good! 4:20 p.m.- After lunch I just went outside and strolled around the area to see where everything on my “to do list” was located. Not to many of the good sights were near me but, oh well. 6:24 p.m.- I chose a very nice hotel. I have just been strolling around here playing at one of their pool tables, or I have gone swimming. But, I’m really getting hungry so where should I go hmm… I’ll get back to me on that after I choose. November 13, 2002 3:24 a.m.- What a night… I was kinda out too late I think… After I last wrote in this I was going to go eat but I decided to stay out a little bit longer, but about that restaurant…This place was called Alfredo. It was a nice little place to eat. After I was seated, I ordered Chicken Parmesan Alfredo. I figured since the place was named Alfredo that alfredo was best. And boy was it delicious (reminder to self, go to any of the Italian places back home and try their alfredo and see how good it is compared to this alfredo.) Oh after that… I was kinda bored and wanted to do something so I decided to go to a nightclub. This nightclub that was around the corner seemed nice enough so I went there. It was called the Akab-Cave. I don’t think that’s an Italian name but, oh well. Well I went in, paid the cover charge, and looked around the place. It had a main level and the cave. The main level played jazz and soul music, that’s where the people who were just sitting around getting a drink were. Then I went to the cave were it was a little bit of harder rock and that’s were the action was! So, at first I just got a drink, then I got up and started dancing next to some fine looking ladies… After dancing I talked to one of them and found out that she was from Ohio and talked to her… Then I went to back to my house to hang out for a bit. Then after doing other stuff came back to the hotel & it’s time now to go to bed nighty night journal. 12:31 p.m.- What a night, I think I actually slept well last night. Boy it was fun though. Have to go again tonight also, I need to go take a shower & get dressed & go get something to snack on. 1:45 p.m.- I ended up just eating something form the continental breakfast… the breakfast was almost over since it was 1:00 haha.
