In Shakespeare's comedy, Much Ado About nothing, Shakespeare makes a strong implication that deception is not always a negative item. As Don Pedro and his men return from war, they arrive at Leonato's home and agree to stay. During their stay, deceptive scheming occurs and allots many effects on the characters. These deceptions produced drama, pain, relief, and happiness. Several situations that occurred were directed towards Claudio marrying Hero, Benedick and Beatrice coming together, and Claudio's transformation from a boy to a man.
Included in Don Pedro's clan of soldiers, was Claudio, a young Lord of Florence. Upon sight, Claudio falls immediately in love with Hero, Leonato' s daughter. Moments later, Claudio professes his love for Hero to Don Pedro. In return, Don Pedro offers to woo Hero in the name of Claudio. During the deliverance, Don John, the bastard brother of Don Pedro, approaches Claudio...
