Should College Athletes Be Paid?
College athletes represent a small majority of the population. Few people actually know and are aware of the hard work and dedication college athletes put towards their sport. They do not receive any money for there contribution to the schools income. Athletes are sometimes mistreated physically and mentally and denied rights and freedoms of other students. The debate over whether or not to pay college athletes has increased greatly. Here are some reasons why college athletes should get paid; they don't have any free time to work and make money for themselves, they help bring in lots of money to the school, and they are made to follow strict rules by there school and the NCAA.
It is impossible for a college athlete to partispate in his sport, go to school and work at the same time. Over half of an athletes day is spend either in a class room or on the field of play. An athlete may have just a few hours of the day for free time...
