Great Manipulators in Propaganda
During the period leading up to World War II, there were two men who were on opposing sides, yet had many traits that made them much alike. One of these men was someone who's name is instantly recognizable to most anyone today, Adolph Hitler, and the other was a man who also was a major player in world history as well, but not so infamous, Joseph Stalin. These men were each triumphant in their rise to power over their countries and they were very comparable in the ways they succeeded. Much of their success was attributed to their new ideas and politics, which through the use of Propaganda were vastly spread through out their respective countries. While both used propaganda as a source to spread their beliefs and popularize their names, their approach in doing so was very different. Propaganda was the leading cause in the publication of their names.
Hitler and Stalin, each hating each other, rose to the highest position attainable in their particular countries. Being able to do this was accomplished in large part by the use of propaganda spreading their ideas. Both men were skilled in being able to twist and manipulate the minds of people into believing that what they were saying was the absolute truth.
