Behaviourism
Behaviourism is defined as the study of overt, observable behaviour. (Dennis Coon) I agree with this premise because I feel that behaviour is influenced by stimuli and rewards. I find the idea that behaviour mannerisms are learned by the environment or surroundings that a child is brought up in to have a lot of truth. I think most behaviour is learned through how you were brought up. In the behaviourism school of psychology there are studies done with the relationship between stimuli and the animal's response. I agree with that approach. Through this study behaviour is taught and rewarded. When the animal likes what they get after performing a certain task they will continue to act with such mannerism. With applying this idea to humans I believe that there wouldn't be much of a difference with the results. But on the other hand, humans tend to have a mind of their own...
