Life lessons and hardships inspire people to share through many ways. In this case Bob Marley lead a difficult life which gave him the ability to create such meaningful lyrics. Perhaps if Marley's life had not been so difficult, the depth of his words would have not been so profound. In many ways, Bob Marley 's songs portray numerous themes, his major lessons are taught through self reliance, convergence, and love.
Firstly, self reliance is what Marley clearly states is needed to survive. Marley believed, "only the fittest shall survive , stay alive!" This meant don't give up . Another example in Redemption Song said," None but ourselves can free our minds." Marley intended to say that only one can fight for their own freedom. A final example of self reliance is mentioned in Get Up Stand Up...
