Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre was wrote by Charlotte Bronte who was the oldest of her two sisters. Together they all wrote Gothic novels and had plenty of success. During this time critics treated women writers badly so they wrote under masculine names. Charlottes wrote under the name of "Currer Bell". Charlotte, the eldest was the most successful and today her works are still popular.
Jane Eyre was published in 1847 and is a fictionalized autobiography of Charlotte Bronte. It follows this heroine who begins her life as an orphan with out a thing. She is left with her aunt who treats her badly. Jane remained there 10 years and was subjected to hard work and fixed hatred. This finally leads to her escape, which leads her Lowood Institution...
