Could your public school experience have been better in any way? If you went to a typical school in America, most likely your answer is yes. If you currently have children enrolled in a public school, unfortunately the answer is still yes. This is not to say that there isn't a continuous effort to amend the system. A modern classroom is a totally different environment from when you were in school, just as yours differed from that of your parents. Our nations education system is constantly evolving. As a parent, ultimately the responsibility of insuring your child the best education possible rests on your shoulders. With this responsibility comes a great power. The voice and the vote of parents has the most weight on the changes made to school curriculum and policy. I urge you to take this power and make the statement: I want better for my children, and will not sell them short!..
