There are many advantages of using solar power to create energy. It is pollution free, renewable, and abundant. All energy on this earth is a direct or indirect result of solar energy. When people think of solar energy, they think of sunshine. But solar energy is more than that. Solar energy is also energy created from wind. The total amount of solar energy reaching Earth is vast. Just 40 minutes of sunlight striking the land surface of the United States yields the equivalent energy of a year's expenditure of fossil fuel.
