	History of Drums Drums The very first people began to beat on empty things, as tree etc.. After a long time they discovered that if you span an animal skin on an empty tree it sounds much better. The first drum was discovered. The Beginning of Drum kits Drum kits haven't got such a long history. All the music we nowadays listen to is born from the blues and jazz. In the years before 1900 there played two drummers in the blues and jazz bands. One who plays on the snare and another who plays on a big drum (the bass drum).
