Making a difference can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Depending on the type of lifestyle you live, or where you reside, possibly your age, your idea of making a difference can be completely different that someone else's. I believe that making a difference involves directly influencing a community. Providing for the general welfare of the community in which you live can be the best thing one can do. Making a difference doesn't necessarily have to be in a physical form. Making a difference can be as little as making someone else's day just a little bit easier, be it because you help them with their groceries, or just give them a warm smile.
Nowadays, it is very easy to make a difference. Communities everywhere are in need of different projects to better the life of their citizens. One community may need an after school program for children of working parents. Another community may need a teen-help center, where kids can come in to talk with a volunteer or just sit down and do their homework in a relaxed environment...
