Aetna's Balanced Scorecard
A balanced scorecard is a measurement system for clarifying, communicating, and implementing business strategy. The information-age environment for both manufacturing and service organizations requires new capabilities for competitive success. The ability to mobilize and exploit intangible or intellectual assets has become as important for companies as investing in and managing physical, tangible assets.
I will use my employer, Aetna Group, to create a balanced scorecard, measuring and managing systems that view the organization's performance from four perspective: financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth.
