In the book, The Giver, Lois Lowry brings into being the perfect utopia world. This world, at first glance, appears to be perfect. There is no crime, no poverty and no sadness. There is no want in this community. The People in this community are not burden by have to make some of life big decision like chosen a career and chosen a mate. But there is a darker side to this utopia. In the first chapter you learn about a disturbing practices called the release. The author does not come out and tell you what the release really means.
