I come from a family were discipline and etiquette were given primary importance. This being because my father was a Commandeer in the Navy. So, I had what was called the defence blood in me and I was expected to follow my father's footsteps, i.e., join the Navy. But from an early age my father always taught me to be independent and to take my own decisions. I did have a liking for the Navy. But there were some incidents in my life that made me realize that defence was not on my list of career services.
