As I pondered doing this assignment on observation, I had to sit and think about
who has been most instrumental person in my life. I wanted to write about my most
positive role model. The only person that fits that description is my mother. She is my
mother, father, sister, and brother. She not only has played those roles, but many others
like friend, confidant, protector, provider, and so on. There are so many people that I
could have chosen, but I believe I made the best choice when I picked my mother. I was
raised solely by my mother. I have no brothers and sisters, so she played those roles,
too. Every time I have called on my mother for help, she has always acknowledged my
request. By watching my mother in her different roles, I truly found out what the
women's role is intended to be: a provider...
