"Marriage is still popular although it is frequently attacked. What are the reasons for its popularity and for the attacks upon it?"
Age of marriage is now getting higher. The average rate is for a female around 25 and a male at the age of 28! This is either because of family approval and the most recent case of not marrying is the lack of financial support. Marriage is the bond or "vows" taken in life to love and support your desired partner and although people want to express their love for each other by marriage this is now becoming quite difficult due to the reasons mentioned above.
The most popular, cheapest and re-liable thing to do now before marriage is cohabiting, a trial marriage it has been referred to as. Living with your partner for a short or long period of time to truly get to know each other to see if you have a strong bond and have true physical feelings for one another.
Friendship is also a great part in marriage, this and the fact you have to have commitment to make your marriage succeed as many obstacles now appear in a young persons life such as money troubles.
