Is work in Canada Problematic?
The many issues that have occurred in Canada have affected many people employed in Canada. Work in Canada has become problematic due to the brain drain and stress on the job. Many employees feel that there are better job opportunities outside the country and many employees have been feeling stressed because of fear of losing their job and because they are over worked.
With organizations' success, becoming more and more dependent on knowledge held by specific employees, companies are becoming increasingly vulnerable to the brain drain. The brain drain is the loss of high-talent key personnel to competitors or startup ventures. Management opportunities in the United States can be particularly attractive to Canadians because of compensation levels, which are often higher, combined with lower income tax rates and the difference in currency value. Working in the United States also provides more career investments than in Canada. It has become increasingly easy for Canadians to pursue careers across international boundaries including work in the United States.
