Blow: Auteur & Genre Essay
After writing my first paper on the movie Blow I understood the movie much better. When I watched it the second time around I noticed many interesting things. In this essay we were asked to examine the concept of the director as an auteur. Also we asked to decide what genre our movie fits into and show how it does. The director of this move Ted Demme is a good example of the director as an auteur. The movie Blow can fit into a couple different genres.
The director of this film has made many films and you can see a couple characteristics in his movies. Many of his movies have something to do with the decades of the 1970's.
