We are living in the age of the consumer society. Its main goal is to persuade the people to buy anything even it is absolutely superfluous. The desire of possession triumphs over the people. We can claim that we live for the shopping nowadays.
You are influenced chiefly by the advertisements that you see, look anywhere. The people do not dare to choose a product which is not promoted in the television. We tend to think that goods which we have not seen in a commercial once at least are not worth the money. Therefore, we buy things containing the costs of advertising if they are significantly more expensive. Consequently, the ads have an enormous effect on the consumers.
