NBC vs. FOX
To most people in the United States, television programming is identical with network programming. There are about 750 commercial television stations in the country and almost every single one of these stations are affiliated with one of the four major networks: ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX (Today 3).Two of the major networks, NBC and FOX, have different style programming techniques to target different age categories. The NBC network focuses on the interests of middle-aged people in their programming line-up, while the FOX network uses a comical approach to target a younger audience.

The different programming techniques
In the final analysis, network executives say, the public determines what will be on the air (Today 9). The audiences of the networks basically make the network. The FOX network tends to air shows that are more appealing to a comical audience. ...
