Rudy Giuliani, the one hundred and seventh mayor of New York City, was and is heroic in many ways. Throughout his term as mayor, Giuliani did many things to help the city and the people of New York become better. Also, on September 11, 2001, his leadership and heroism helped the United States get through the bombing of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and the plane crash in Pennsylvania.
On May 28, 1944 Rudy Giuliani was born in Brooklyn, New York, into a very Catholic and Italian family. Although his family later moved to Long Island, he attended high school at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Brooklyn. After high school, Giuliani attended Manhattan College where he majored in political science and philosophy. With career plans were still undecided, after graduation, he entered New York University Law School, were he graduated with high distinctions.
Giuliani's first job in the political world was clerking for a federal judge named Lloyd MacMahon. Because MacMahon liked Giuliani, he opened the doors to him for many other political positions. In 1983, Giuliani ran for mayor of New York against a Democrat named David Dinkins...
