Frankenstein Essay
Rejection is the underlying theme of the novel, Frankenstein. Rejection is the act of refusing to accept, recognize or give affection. It seems to be portrayed in society that the main goal of people is to be accepted. Everyone has grown up with and set of laws and rules, therefore everyone in society needs the act of approval and consent before they accomplish something. When people are rejected they feel a sense of negative response and they believe that the opinion that one person, represents the opinion of the whole world. People make decisions based on the question of whether or not they will be accepted by others. People put so much emphasis on the reaction and opinion of others. It is difficult for people to accept their rejection and be content with themselves with the fact that nobody cares. People support their opinions of rejection based on qualities such as, appearance, religion, social status, nationality, etc. It becomes evident in the novel Frankenstein that the theme of rejection is clearly illustrated within the actions of the characters...
