  The dictionary defines progressive as promoting or favoring progress toward better conditions or new policies, ideas, or methods. The progressive movement aimed to return control of the government to the people, restore economic opportunities, and correct injustices in American life. So I feel that the Progressive Era was really progressive. It was progressive mainly because of the three Progressive Presidents policies. The three presidents that made the policies were Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. Their policies helped make the Progressive Era progressive.
       Theodore Roosevelt was the first president of the Progressive Era that helped. It began with the 1902 coal strike where it was the coal mine owners vs. the workers. The workers wanted shorter work hours, a 20% raise, and the right to form a union...
