To be an undercover cop I must admit takes alot of dedication because not all undercover cops are able to cross over and be accepted into the group that they are trying to cross over into. An undercover cop must be able to switch from the secondary group which is the police department and the roles and standards set by them to the primary group which are the criminals and the roles and standards they set. The police are more of a formalists group. The relationship that they have is impersonal and cold. They aren't really recognized as being a person they are just acknowledged as being part of a group. So when an undercover cop crosses over they are crossing over to a group that is more informal. Their identity change and they have to become resocialized. They have face to face interaction and is accepted as being an individual. The primary group treats the police officer as if he or she is family. They are intimate and show much affection while the police department or the secondary group just ac
