Comparison between Schindlers List and Escape From Sobibor

In 1945, one of the most horrible wars in world history ended. More than four
million Jews were killed over a six year period. Most were taken to death and labor
camps where they were tortured and many were killed. There are many novels and films
that depict these treachorous years, but none as good as the films Schindler's List and
Escape From Sobibor. Steven Spielberg and Jack Gold do an excellent job protraying
life throughout these horrible years. Although Schindler's List length is detracting, it is a
better film than Escape From Sobibor due to the believeable characters and interesting
plot.
Of all the believable characters in the film Schindler's List, Oskar Schindler is the
first that comes to mind. Throughout the movie, he is one of the three characters that
makes the biggest change in his life. In the begining Schindler is in favor of the war. He
is not necessarily in favor of killing of the Jews or the cause of the war, but he really
likes the fact that the Jews had to work for free...
