ANTZ is an intriguing and frequently comic film about a colony of ants, full of technical animations and performed by voices of a variety of famous actors.
Woody Allen offers his voice to the main character, Z, to suit his personality. Z is a miserable, awkward worker who puts faith in what is wrong in his life, the world and seeks individuality. Z tells his friend Weaver (voice of Sylvester Stallone), a muscley and brave ant, his dream to escape from the colony to find Insectopia, a place of endless food supply and freedom.
When Princess Bala (voice of Sharon Stone), the ant who thinks herself as cool, has a dull attitude and carries things secretly or bends the rules, disguises herself as a worker ant. She accidentally meets Z and he falls for her beauty and admires her. Princess Bala is being forced to marry the superior yet selfish General Mandible (Gene Hackman) for the sake of the colony.
Z and Princess Bala take a chance to escape from the colony and walk on a journey and discover Insectopia. After fulfilling their dreams, they come to a decision to return home and rescue the colony from General Mandible's (Gene Hackman) heartless plan.
