Zionism started with Hertzels' vision. After seeing the true face of anti-Semitism, he decided that the only solution to prevent the "final solution" was to create a state, a homeland for the Jewish people. A place where the Jews, if ever hunted down or banished from the place they lived, could go. A government that would give them the freedom to express their Judaism with out discriminating against them. When looking at the situation today we can observe one of the most ironic changes of fate. Israel was created as "night shelter" to protect the Jews if they ever needed it. Today, Israel is the only country in the world that Jews are killed consistently strictly because of the fact that there're Jews. If the igniting force that drove early Zionists has not only failed but has turned its back on them, what would keep an old fashion Zionist here in Israel?
