It was because of my diary that I happened to remember my first night in jail. This ended up being the longest night of my life. One mistake as led it jail time at the age of eighteen for smart young lady.
I become more frustrated knowing that I am stuck in this small cell. As I sit on the top bunk with my enemy on the bottom, I think about all the things I could be doing. Instead, I am lying on a bed that real criminals have slept on. My thoughts run through my mind on whether I should apologize or not. Looking at the clock, I notice that it's time mealtime. The guards are coming to our cell to bring us our portion of beans, bread, and tea for dinner. As we eat, we realize that lights out is next...
