The Controversial Decision
The Newsweek article The Progant Arrogant Empire is a backdated article that discusses America's upcoming war with Iraq. According to Fareed Zakaria, America's power scares the world and the Bush administration has only made it worse. The United States will soon be at war with Iraq and Saddam Hussein. Hussein runs one of the most tyrannical regimes in history and has been seeking chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons for almost twenty five years. Hussein has sacrificed nearly one million Iraqis and killed or wounded more than a million Iranians from launching two catastrophic wars. He continues to reek havoc and will receive his final warning to disarm or he will face immediate and serious consequences from the United States military.
Americans have never felt more vulnerable since the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center. After September 11, President Bush needed to act forcefully in the world and assert United States power. Suddenly, terrorism is the world's chief priority. America will not tolerate any games being played by Saddam and will use military action to prevent another terrible attack...
