Rhetorical Case Study
Laci Peterson, an eight month pregnant, twenty-seven year old wife, disappeared suddenly from her home on Christmas Eve 2002. She was immediately turned in "missing" by her husband Scott. He had last seen his wife Laci eight hours earlier when he was leaving for a fishing trip to the Berkley Marina. Weeks had passed and there was still no clue of where Lacy and the baby she was carrying, Conner, might be. Slowly events started uncovering, and a story of Scott Peterson having an affair surfaced into the news media. The puzzle was beginning to be put together when two bodies surfaced four months after the case began. The bodies were found less then three miles from where Scott told the police he was fishing the day of the disappearance.
The police arrested Scott Peterson on Good Friday April 18, 2003 in San Diego, California. He was set to be arraigned on Capital Murder charges on the following Monday or Tuesday...
