Morning has arrived and the average individual is about to start his day. Their day may not always begin with a healthy breakfast, but most likely a cup of coffee. Coffee wakes the soul and makes the individual feel like he can proceed with his day. The caffeine in a cup of coffee is enough of a stimulant to keep him going for several hours. The world's reliance on caffeine has become increasingly larger and it has ultimately been a topic of great discussion.
A highly debatable substance, caffeine can be found in over 60 plants including tea leaves, coffee leaves, kola nuts, and coca beans. Its bitter taste enhances othe flavors enjoyed in many daily beverages and aliments. However, many questions have been raised concerning the health consequences of caffeine. Certain studies imply that caffeine is the cause of high blood pressure, that it contributes to the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and may be harmful to the fetus during pregnancy.
