The difference (including advantages and disadvantages) between mesh, bus, ring, and star topologies are as follows:
Mesh A mesh network provides each device with a point-to-point connection to every other device in the network.
Advantages
1. Helps find the quickest route on the network; provides redundancy.
Disadvantages
1. Very expensive and not easy to set up.
2. Each node must have an interface for every other device
3. Large amounts of cable for many devised to be connected in a mesh environment
4. Unless each station sends to every other station frequency, bandwidth is wasted. (links are not being used)
