Formulating a theological methodology for bioethics and its extensive developments which are taking place in the fields of biotechnology and biomedicine is more perplexed than it sounds. One would have to ask themselves the question can the Bible address the multifaceted arena of moral issues that we are now facing. Those who are familiar with the scriptures would say yes. They would probably use as a premise Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." That is true, but when developing methodology that is theological sound with biblical doctrine one would become frustrated when they are able to find a scripture that is relevant to bioethical dilemma they are facing. They wonder how to apply the Bible in a world in which time, society, data, and statistics change. Therefore, let us establish a biblical methodology that can help people analyze and address moral dilemmas in the realm of bioethics.
The first that would need to happen when establishing a biblical methodology for bioethics is for Christians to become well-informed on what is meant by bioethics. This way, when they are faced with a bioethical predicament they would be aware of what they are dealing with.
