Vigilante Justice vs. Current Law (Ineffective Policing)
I. What does Batman, Spiderman, The Punisher, and Superman all have in
common? Besides all being comic book characters, they are perhaps the
most famous examples of vigilantes. They all knew the police couldn't
handle the kinds of criminals they were up against, so they took it
upon themselves to take care of business. If crime today continues as
it has, we all may soon find the need to cowboy up and stick it to the
bad guys.
Law enforcement today is too disorderly to make an efficient, positive
impact in the national crime rate. Our own law enforcement, designed
to protect society, has one flaw. It cannot protect us from itself.
The very group of people put in the position to serve and protect us
have been so busy trying to figure out how to deal with criminals, that
they have forgotten that the also need to know how to find criminals...
