A card trick is a classic demonstration of “magic.” To any youthful audience, a simple card trick may astonish or puzzle them. Anyone who knows some basic math can understand that math is the key point in many card tricks. One specific card trick consists of a trickster who has no knowledge of three cards chosen by the player, and can keep those three cards from the player while dealing out the cards four times. ... The player is told to place one of the three cards he has chosen on top of the first pile of 5, and bury that card with any amount of cards from the next pile of 15 (refer to diagram 1 for summary of “burying of cards"). After one studies the movements of the trickster at the beginning of the trick, one would notice that the trickster knows exactly where every one of the three cards are located within the pile. After the player places each card on top of the 3 piles, he is asked to bury each one with as many other cards from the other piles, but no matter how you bury them, their positions will not be disturbed.
