Goya's Madrid Album
Goya's body of art work was ground breaking to least describe it. The reason Goya's work is ground breaking is that with his art work he drew emotions and feelings from people leading them in such a way to affect their way of living in society. Goya's work gives an insight to the human emotion and feeling, his body of work explores the depth of human nature that is rarely touched upon.
Born in a village of Fuendetodos In the Province of Aragon on March 30, 1746 the degree of neglect is reflected in a few simple facts. In the year of Goya's birth for example the capital city of Madrid had no centrally organized refused collection and no coherent street lighting or cleaning service. The police force was lackadaisical in the cities and virtually unknown in t he countryside, where banditry was well recognized danger (The World of Goya 11). Goya's childhood was rough and very unpleasant. The Goya house was scarcely more than a hut, its heavy dark stone walls broken irregularly by small windows, which gave a view of the dusty road wandering past. The lasting impression this arid county mad on Goya is clear in the landscape backgrounds of his work especially the etchings. Poverty and Isolation created Goya's stubborn independence and created, as well, the darker side of his nature, his selfishness and essential loneliness (The World of Goya 13)...
