A ghost is a surviving emotional memory of someone who has died traumatically. A ghost can best be described as a recording, similar to an audio or videotape. Ghosts are not "intelligent." Unlike a sprit which is the actual living essence, or soul, of a person that has remained after their physical body has died.
Residual Haunting is more common then people think. They are "recordings" of an event in time that are left at a location. These recordings play back at a later time. The best way to describe this type of haunting is to compare it to an old film loop. It is a scene or image that is played over and over again through the years.
