Disc Golf

When most people hear me talk about Disc Golf, or Frisbee Golf, the first thing that pops is their head is, "what the heck is that". Well I have written this report to enlighten the curious about said topic. I have also written this document to give more "in-depth" review of the rules and terminology. I do this for those that have some knowledge about my favorite sport and want to learn more.
It started in ancient times when cave men would hurl flat rocks to slay their food instead of spears. If they had the ability to kill from a distance it was a lot safer than trying to use a club. Then, when steel became readily available, flat steel rings had a devastating effect in combat. Which later lead to the discus event in the first Olympic games.
The modern day term "Frisbee" comes from a company called the called the Frisbee Pie Company, founded in 1871 by William Russell Frisbie. At its peak the company made 80,000 pies a day...
