ANSWER
Having identified that in Basketball my Cardio Respiratory Endurance needs to be improved I will use the following principles and factors in a development programme.
Specificity
It is essential that my training relates directly to the type of fitness.
To improve my Cardio Respiratory Endurance I must focus on the types of movement that are relevant to a full game of Basketball. I will use Endurance exercises that develop longer involvement as well as exercises that develop the prolonged use of short fast sprints.
Workload
When completing a fitness training programme it is important that the level of work is demanding yet not too difficult. When developing Cardio Respiratory Endurance the training should be such that it is built up over a long period of training...
