The plot of Cabaret is about an American man (Clifford Bradshaw) meeting a German singer (Sally Bowles) he meets at a cabaret. Sally was fired from the cabaret and moves into Clifford's house. They get to know each other and fall in love. A sub plot of the show was that the show took place in Berlin Germany before the beginning of WWII but during Hitler's rule of Germany.
The Master of Ceremonies was like the narrator of the show and carried us from scene to scene. Clifford Bradshaw was the American writer who came to Germany to write his novel. He had to be a very gullible innocent type of character. Sally Bowles was a singer at a Cabaret until she got fired for flirting with Clifford. She then proceeds to move in with him, they fall in love, and by the end of the show in order to make money she goes back to the Kit Kat Club. Sally had to have a voice; she was the lead singer at the Club...
