THE BASIS OF A GOOD COMEDY

(As the audience enters, the songs of Riverdance will be playing in the background. At the end of the song "American Hymn" JEFF enters from the back of the house.)
JEFF: Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, and welcome to this afternoon's presentation of The Basis of a Good Comedy. I have a few brief announcements before we get under way. The Recording of this show, by any means audio or visual is strictly prohibited by the management. For your convenience there are toilets located just outside, oh wait those are locked. At this time, please take a moment to locate the exit nearest your seat.
(JEFF motions like a flight attendant)
JEFF: Should the entire theater go underwater your seat will also act as a floatation device. Simply stand up, pull out you seat cushion, and float to the top. Also, please turn off electronic devices during the beginning and the end of the presentation...
