After the fall of the Roman Empire, the Easter and Western parts of it developed and changed differently. They are alike and different and other ways as well. Some of the differences and similarities I will be talking about deal with religious beliefs, Economic issues, and Inventions and contributions to the future societies.
On the east side people had three main religions, Islamic, Jewish, and Christian. The Islamic religion expanded to both the east and west sides. In 732, muslim armies from spain crossed the Pyrenees into southwester France. At the Battle of Tours, the Islams were defeated by a christian army commanded by Charles Martel. By 732, Muslim Arabs controlled the Iberian peninsula, the land of the Carthaginians, the holy land of the Jews and Christians, and many other lands.
