Teenager
Teenager. Oxford define the term teenager as "A person between the ages of 13 and 19; an adolescent". However does the definition describe a teenager? In fact, most of society perceives a teenager as an "irresponsible and irrational" developmental stage of life. Teenagers are greatly misunderstood and therefore more open to all kinds of discrimination. Teens face discrimination on every aspect of their lives, at work, their responsibilities, and to how they associate with their friends.
More and more teenager find themselves working at a part-time job, may it be at the mall of behind a fast-food teenager are increasing faced with all kinds discrimination. Teenagers are readily looked over for promotion or salary increases because of age or seniority. Teenagers are given the larger end of the workload often told to do extra work for no money. However who is to say that a sixteen-year-old kid can't do a better job than a twenty-year-old adult?..
