The future of reality television,
will it end by around 2005 and how?

So the networks are going to roll out numerous reality television shows over the summer this year! ... To top it off, by the end of the year, Pepsi will unleash the absolute mother of all reality shows with one big fat billion dollars up for grabs. Just about anyone has a chance of getting the billion because a monkey will apparently choose the winner thats what reality television has come down to! Although the war is hardly a reality show there are huge audiences tuning in as if it were one but well ignore that here and call the Pepsi show the mother of them all. ... Despite temporarily handing over the control of their lives to television producers, and for only a small amount of pay in some cases, average citizens are scrambling to get on a reality show now more than ever, to chase the big prize or achieve some sort of personal fulfillment. ... Lets face it, the best reality show in a few years has been Joe Millionaire and this is how the format will continue for the next year or two ie: less than 2 months, not these dragged out boring contests that last three months.
