Ted Yoo Descriptive Place Lady Luck Bright lights and ear splitting sirens layer the streets of Las Vegas. Stampeding groups of tourist and locals roam up and down the strip. Flyers of nude women carpet the ground leaving only what hides behind a tiny star to the imagination. Lady Luck awaits every person with more than a quarter in his pocket. An inspiration may come from a lucky “4 of a Kind” or the consumption of alcohol, but whatever it may be, some people crave it. Coin after coin, people drop money into the machines, sucking the life out of the wishful thinkers. The casinos are a place where depression eventually overcomes the mind with the odds in their favor. Electric vultures are masked by a rainbow colored “Wheel of Fortune” or an “I Dream of Genie” arcade.
