Coaching
The articles I choose deal with men's college basketball coaches, and there disturbing behavior. The first article deals with Mark Bliss, a men's basketball coach from Baylor University. His name is in the news because he asked his players to cover up drug use and improper payments to some of his players. This is in the wake of an investigation on Patrick Dennehy. Ramifications of his behavior were he was forced to resign, outrage in the community, and a lack of trust in men's college basketball coaches by society. The second article took place a few weeks earlier and deals with Iowa State men's basketball head coach Larry Eustachy. His name is in the news because pictures and stories have been printed about him going to college parties, drinking beer, and kissing female students. Ramifications of his behavior were he lost his job, had to confront his alcoholism, and outrage by the community.
In both articles, most of the content is made up quotes from the people involved or other sources with information. I would say for both articles there seems to be a slight bias, because they ten to bash and putdown the two coaches...
