The 2000-01 Ottawa Senators finished with the fourth best record overall, collecting a franchise-high 109 points with their 48-21-9-4 record Ottawa captured their second Northeast Division title in three seasons, 11 points ahead of second-place Buffalo The Senators led the Eastern Conference with their 26-7-5-3 home record and were second best on the road, going 22-14-4-1 Ottawa will make their fifth consecutive trip to the post-season in their quest for the 2001 Stanley Cup.
