SHOULD AFFIRMATIVE ACTION BE ALLOWED IN MEDICAL SCHOOLS?
It is my contention that Affirmative Action should not be allowed in medical schools. In this paper I will show four things:
1. There is open doubt regarding Affirmative Action in medical schools;
2. The quality of health care may suffer because of Affirmative Action in medical schools;
3. The reasons given for Affirmative Action in medical schools are not necessarily good reasons;
4. The deontological and utilitarian considerations regarding Affirmative Action in medical schools.
There are many outspoken critics of Affirmative Action in medical schools.
