Summary
Mick Foley, better known as Mankind is a professional wrestler that just wants his story told. What is most impressive about Mick is that unlike most autobiographies on celebrities, Foley wrote the book himself, without the aid of a ghost writer. Even more impressive is the fact that he wrote the whole book (544 pages) on a series of yellow legal pads, which he informs, the reader during the book. It doesn't take the reader long to see that this is just one example of dedication Mick Foley shows in his life. He wrote this novel to show people that the world of wrestling isn't a walk in the park that becoming a professional wrestler is not for the weak of heart.
Foley had always shown a deep love for wrestling. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that Foley, while still in college, drove hundreds of miles and sleeping in his car just for the opportunity to train on the weekends to become a wrestler. It is not an easy task as I mentioned before, I personally believe Mick's goal was to show people that.
