Citizen Kane: Acting and Writing
In the movie Citizen Kane, there is exquisite writing and acting throughout the film. From the beginning of the movie of Kanes dying words rosebud, the audience is drawn in to figure out what he meant by that word. The actors bring to life the characters as though they are real and these are their lives. The writing in the beginning of the movie shows a documentary of Kane's life, and this tie together what he did in his real life which is writing for a newspaper. The documentary showed us his life with just enough detail to show the viewer a glimpse of what his life was really like.
There are many movies that I have watched that show a person's life throughout the film and they tends to be boring and drawn out. In this movie it shows the ups and downs of Kane's life. The actor who plays Kane does a very good job of showing his serious side and also the funny side. This gives the audience an idea that he was not always so uptight, but he liked to have fun also. Kane was a very determined man, and demanded power and you can see this shine though the actor as he tries to emphasize Kane's wanting ness for this power...
